3 Simple Methods That Helped Me Achieve New Year Goals Every Year

If you are thinking about making new year resolutions or creating new goals for 2022, allow me to share with you three simple methods that have worked very well for me over the years.

1. Make it under your control. Only set goals that you have total control over. Identify external factors and then internalize your goals. Publishing a bestseller is beyond your control, but writing 500 words a day is all up to you. Don't try to win a tennis match, instead try to play the best match you can.

2. Work on it every day. Focus your effort on one or two most important goals and make it a habit to do something for it everyday, even for only 5 minutes. Write it down. Think about it. Talk about it. Every step counts.

3. Be willing to restart. Some goals are not meant to be achieved in first attempt. Accept the failure and simply restart. Things often turn around for better after no more than three or four tries.
